About the University:

Florida Tech, the only independent scientific and technological university in the Southeast, offers undergraduate degrees in aeronautics, science, engineering, business, psychology, humanities, and communication; master's degrees in more than 70 disciplines and doctoral degrees in over 20 disciplines.

Founded in 1958 in response to the educational needs of professionals at what is now NASA's Kennedy Space Center, Florida Tech offers the dynamic learning environment of a research-intensive institution with the personal touch of a small university. Our students enjoy such advantages as: small student-to-faculty ratio, participation in sponsored research programs, online instruction, multimedia-equipped classrooms, state-of-the-arts facilities, top-notch faculty, a diverse student body and innovative research combined with a dynamic location, moderate size and exceptional reputation.

The School of Psychology at Florida Institute of Technology offers undergraduate degrees in psychology, forensic psychology, applied psychology (online), and criminal justice (online). Graduate programs include the M.S. and Ph.D. in Industrial/Organizational (I-O) Psychology, M.S. and Ph.D. in Behavior Analysis, M.S. in Organizational Behavior Management, and Psy.D. in Clinical Psychology. The clinical Psy.D. program trains students based on a practitioner/scientist model focused on Clinical Psychology. The program incorporates multiple theoretical orientations and has emphases in development of clinical skills. In the I/O Psychology program, students are trained in the scientist/practitioner framework in the core I/O content areas of: personnel testing and selection, performance appraisal, motivation and emotion at work, and group and team processes.

Students also gain skills in advanced statistics and research methods in order to conduct organizational research. The master's programs in Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) and Organizational Behavior Management prepares graduates for employment as Board Certified Behavior Analysts and as consultants in business/industry, while the Behavior Analysis Ph.D. prepares students for teaching, research, and management careers. The School of Psychology is located in the new Florida Tech Commons building which includes offices, classrooms, research labs and computer labs. The Scott Center houses the clinical services and training for the Behavior Analysis and Clinical Psychology programs.
